The June 2023 email: director of admissions charts a plan to pull up to 62 applicants with lower MCAT and GPA scores into the interview pool. Stated goal: enroll more URiM students.
The statistical gaps are real. Black admits versus Asian admits at the 2025 median: 17 MCAT percentile points. But the letter has no regression, no controls, no coefficients.
This is not a statistics case. It is an intent case. Direct evidence beats regression in front of a jury. The numbers corroborate. The email is the case.
